About e-Raksha Contest

The aim of the competition is to instil the concept of Digital Citizenship & Online Safety in an innovative and engaging manner amongst the students & teachers. It will involve the participants to think deeply, engage in meaningful dialogs and express their ideas around Digital Citizenship & Online Safety in creative & artistic styles, leading them to be mindful of their actions in the on line world.

Participation

The Contest is open to the school students and in-service teachers across government & private schools and student teachers from RIEs, DIETs & Departments of Education in the universities.

Categories

Students:

  • Level – 1 For Grades 6th, 7th, 8th
  • Level – 2 For Grades 9th & 10th
  • Level – 3 For Grades 11th & 12th

Teachers:

  • In-Service Teachers -across all/any grades & disciplines
  • Pre-Service/ Student Teachers from Colleges of Education

Timelines:

  • Launch 15th April 2019
  • 15th July – Final submission of entries
  • 10th August – Announcement of results

Awards & Recognition:

  • All participants will receive ‘Participation Certificate’ in Digital Format
  • Top entries across each category will be awarded ‘Prizes’ and ‘Merit Certificates’_ They will also be invited to join the elite Ambassador/Champion’s Online Circle and get opportunity to fraternize with experts in the field of Cyber Safety & Security.

 

Guidelines for e-Raksha Website

Poster Making Competition (SPECTRUM):

  • The theme for the competition is “Online Safety”.
  • You may choose any theme related to the same, such as trolling, security tips, online fraud or even bullying. Please make sure that the only text your posters have is the caption.
  • Please refrain from writing any slogans.
  • Each participant can submit one poster.
  • Extra points for originality. Please refrain from copying ideas or graphics. We want to see your original and authentic work.

Sticker Making Competition (STICK A THOUGHT):

  • The theme for the competition is “Online Safety”.
  • You may choose any theme related to the same, such as trolling, security tips, online fraud or even bullying. Please make sure that the only text your stickers have is the caption.
  • You can add phrases or captions in the sticker.
  • Each participant can submit one sticker.
  • Extra points for originality. Please refrain from copying ideas or graphics. We want to see your original and authentic work.

Video Making Competition (SCREEN MASTER):

  • The theme for the competition is “Online Safety”.
  • You may choose any theme related to the same, such as trolling, security tips, online fraud or even bullying.
  • If you choose to put dialogues or any text in the video, please make sure that it is either in Hindi or English.
  • The video must not be longer than 5 minutes.
  • Each participant can send one video. You have to upload your video to any platform convenient to you, such as social media websites or video sharing platforms (E.g. Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
  • Please make sure you share the link to your video with us
  • Extra points for originality. Please refrain from copying ideas or graphics. We want to see your original and authentic work.

Slogan writing competition (SLOGAN SLAM):

  • Create a slogan with not more than 15 words, on Online Safety or any related theme.
  • Your slogan can be in Hindi or English.
  • Each participant can share only one slogan.
  • You can share your slogan using the dashboard.
  • Extra points for originality.

Blog Writing Competition (UNANSWERED):

  • Tell us your understanding of the internet, its pros and cons.
  • Send us a write-up of 200-300 words on online safety or any related theme.
  • You can write on any aspect that you may find interesting.
  • Please cite relevant sources and references of information that you may use.
  • You can write in either Hindi or English.
  • Please use Microsoft Word and upload the .doc or .docx file.
  • Use the upload link to share your blog using the dashboard. Or else you can also upload the document file.
  • Extra points for originality. Please refrain from copying ideas or graphics. We want to see your original and authentic work.

Painting Competition (PAINT-A-THON):

  • Use colours to present your rendition of cyber space and how you perceive it.
  • Create art on a 11” x 16” canvas (A3 size) and show us your take on online safety.
  • You can use any kind of painting materials and methods.
  • You can register for the competition using the register link and share a scanned copy of your artwork using the same.
  • Extra points for originality. Please refrain from copying ideas or graphics. We want to see your original and authentic work.
